Ms. Bhavna Pathak is Assistant Professor, Head of the Department of Mass Communication, Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore. She is Honorary Director, Department Concerning Project for Media Dictionary, Indian Association of Mass Communication (Regd.), Delhi.
Ms. Pathak is Media Educator, Factshala Trainer, Founder of Audio Visual Multilingual Media Dictionary YouTube Channel, Media Literacy Activist, Professional Podcaster and Voiceover Artist. She is graduate and recipient of silver jubilee award and excellence academic award of Miranda House College, University of Delhi.
After Completion of her PG Diploma in Hindi Journalism from Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), Delhi, she worked with news papers like Jansatta, Amar Ujala, Sahar Samay, Nai Dunia as a freelance journalist. She has worked in Radio Industry as an RJ, Programming Head and Radio consultant for six to seven years. She has worked with Radio Dhamaal of E24 Group in Hisar and Jabalpur, with 94.3 MY FM Radio Station of Dainik Bhaskar Group in Indore and Bhopal.
She started her academic journey in year 2016 from Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Indore. She has presented several research papers in International and National Conferences. She is coordinator of Media Monitor a discussion forum for understanding media effect and influence on an individual and society both. This forum invites media educators, media professional, community media experts and reporters and media research scholars to share their perspective on Media and its influence on society. She is a certified Factshala trainer which is an initiative of India Media Literacy Network started by Internews in association with DataLEADS and Google News Initiative. She is pursuing her Ph.D. from Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication in the area of Media Literacy.
She has been invited as a resource person to IIMC Amravati Center, Maharashtra, Kalindi College, University of Delhi, Nirmala Institute of Education, Goa, Dr. Bhimrav Ambedkar University of Social Sciences, Mhow, Hansraj College, University of Delhi, Amity University, Jharkhand to name a few.
On International Youth Day, 12th August, 2021 she was awarded with International Youth Entrepreneurship Award for initiating audio visual Media Dictionary by ten organizations Including Confederation of India Universities, The Global Open University of Nagaland, Indira Gandhi Technological and Medical Sciences University of Arunanachal Pradesh, Greater Noida Institute of Technology, Indo European Council of Small and Medium Enterprises, Women International Network etc.
