Dr. Neha Jingala is an ace academician, presently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism at Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, where she teaches the under-graduate students. She has been associated with the University of Delhi since 2015. She has an extensive academic experience of more than a decade having worked with Trinity Institute of Professional Studies (Affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University). Prior to that she had a stint both in electronic and print media industry. She has worked with Doordarshan Kendra, New Delhi as a Compere and Voice- Over Artist. She was associated with various national dailies and many reputed organisations of similar stature.


An alumna of Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, where she did her Bachelors in Journalism and later earned her M.A., M.Phil and Ph.D. from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak in Journalism and Mass Communication.


Dr. Jingala’s extensive research work focuses on Print Media and Women Empowerment. Other subjects she explores through her teaching and research are Dalit Issues, New Media and Film Studies. She has published widely in reputed academic journals and presented several papers at various national and international conferences/ seminars. Dr. Jingala has co-edited a book titled The Paradigm Shift in Indian Cinema: Concepts and Applications- A Film Enthusiast’s Guide to Cinema. She has actively participated in large number of conferences/ seminars/ workshops/ FDPs on varied issues of contemporary significance.


She is an Executive Member of the Public Relations Society of India, Delhi Chapter.


Dr. Jingala, being a media educationist believes in creating an academic environment of excellence facilitated by innovative pedagogy and modern technology to impart professional education in the different areas of journalism and mass communication.
As a Working Committee Member of Global Media Education Council, she is passionate about working to further enhance the professional offerings of the Council.
